The Stanway Heavy Duty Folding Manhole Lifter is the ideal tool for keying into and lifting manhole covers. This tool is 800mm in length when extended and 500mm when folded. This tool is perfect for transport and for compact storage due to its folding design. Due to its restricted length this lifter requires a lot of the lifting to be achieved with the body. Make sure to bend the knees rather than the back. Its extra leverage design makes it ideal for working with very heavy duty cast iron lids, ideal for engineers, consultants, etc. This lifter has been designed for its foot to be placed on the frame of the manhole, rather than the concrete surround. This significantly reduces the risk of damage to the surround by placing pressure only on the metal rim of the manhole. Suitable for all trades people and the serious DIY users.
